Senator John Kerry returns to the altar.
Senator Kerry is an outspoken critic of President Bush and the war in Iraq. The Senator has made many jibes at President Bush and his policies...as is expected from a political opponent.
At an appearance in Pasadena, Senator Kerry had some opening remarks to some students that were meant to be jokes. One that he delivered was how President Bush used to live in the state of Texas, but now lives in the state of denial. Now that is a perfectly acceptable political joke and even those on the side of President Bush can smile at a good one-liner.
However, Senator Kerry then delivered the following statement...
"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
Needless to say, Senator Kerry has been raked over the coals by both parties for this callous and hurtful comment. He and his handlers have tried to say it was a poorly delivered joke aimed at President Bush.
If one looks at this comment...there is NO reference to President Bush or his Administration. This alledged joke is an insult to the members of the United States Military, and is totally uncalled for...even as a barb towards President Bush.
To make matter worse, rather than apologize to the troops for his uncalled for, highly insulting comments, Senator Kerry tried to blame President Bush, talk radio....ANYbody but himself for his insensitive remarks in the form of this "botched joke." Had anyone made a joke insutling to an ethnic group or race accusing them of being uneducated, unholy Holy Hell would have been raised with Senator Kerry leading the charge. Senator Kerry initially REFUSED to apologize to the troops. This display of unbridled arrogance is very disturbing. This man wanted to LEAD the very same military he just said was not intelligent. He has no humility, tact, or it seems common sense... and for this Senator, you are invited...no commanded to
GO WORSHIP!!!!!
